I work in computer vision - currently building AI systems for construction technology, teaching machines to read blueprints the way an experienced site engineer would (mostly successfully).
Additionally, I teach machine learning and vision AI at the University of St. Thomas, which mostly means I get to explain gradient descent to 25 people at a time.
Outside of work, I live in Minneapolis with my wife, my son, and two cats who have strong opinions about my keyboard being an excellent place to sit.
I enjoy reading (history, politics, aliens, and everything in between), Formula 1, and collecting watches.
